How do you know it's safe to store and eat at room temperature?

Yes! Our cookie dough is egg-free, dairy-free and gluten-free. We only use high quality, certified organic, gluten-free, non-GMO and fair trade ingredients, and no preservatives or synthetic ingredients. Our proprietary GF Flour Mix and other ingredients are able to maintain a rather low water activity, which keeps the dough safe from microbial growth and spoilage. Our current packaging is also food safe and airtight. We also routinely test our dough at Alliant Food Safety Labs in Farmington CT.So, grab a spoon and dig in!

When is BeReal Dough at its best?

BeReal Cookie Dough tastes great at any time! We find its best texture is at room temperature (between 50 and 75 degrees). That's when it is soft and spoonable for eating and baking!

How many cookies does each container make?

Available in Two Sizes:

  • 12 oz Family Size Size makes approximately 12-16 three inch cookies
  • 4 oz Individual Size makes makes approximately 4-6 three inch cookies
  • Scoop, Press, Bake! See instructions on containers. Remember to pat the shapes down to your desired thickness as they don’t spread like usual cookie dough because they do not contain butter. Thin for crispy cookies, a little thicker for chewy cookies.
Why does it say to "refrigerate after opening" on the back of the package?"

That's if you haven't eaten it or baked it all at once! The FDA requires that we print the instruction on all consumer packaged goods. For ease of use, bring it back to room temperature before using.

Can I freeze the cookies after I make them?

Yes. The cookies retain their flavor and consistency in the freezer for up to 1 year.

    Are you certified Gluten-Free?

Yes. We are certified gluten-free by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization. GFCO certifies companies and manufacturers worldwide using the strictest standards for certification at 10 ppm or less.

My dough arrived a little melted, what should I do?

Your cookie dough can be unrefrigerated and sit at room temperatures unopened for 6 months or more. That means most of the year we can just ship in a normal box (no ice packs or insulation needed) and it arrives in excellent condition. That said, during the heat of summer, it's possible that the chocolate chips and dough may arrive a little melted. It's totally natural for some melting to occur and that will not affect the safety or quality of the product. Simply place it in the refrigerator for 60 or 90 minutes to allow the chips to regain their structure. Then, allow it to come back to room temperature to enjoy it. Or you can open the dough upon arrival and mix all that natural OOEY-GOOEYness together and eat immediately!!
