Our quest to create delicious, organic, gluten-free, plant-based cookie doughs began when avid baker and Nurse Practitioner Mary Galvin decided to heal herself through diet and nutrition after being diagnosed with a gluten allergy, as well as other sensitivities, in 2014.
Mary loves baking cookies and sharing them with others, especially for the holidays. She was determined to make a healthier cookie dough that tasted as good as her originals. You can be sure it was no easy task to create all-new recipes with no flour, no dairy, no eggs and find a healthier alternative to butter and shortening.
It took years to perfect a cookie dough, and cookies, she was happy with. Friends and family were amazed with the results and urged her to share her “discovery” with other people like her, who are sensitive to the standard ingredients found in most foods today.
In the process of creating her business it came to Mary's attention that this dough - without eggs, dairy, soy or gluten - might be fully safe to eat raw, and may be shelf stable at room temperature, as none of the ingredients needed to be refrigerated.
The cookie dough was tested in a lab and the result was, you can Eat it Raw and Bake it! and also leave it in your cabinet, pantry or countertop unopened for at least 6 months.
