Yes, you\'ve got that right! Our cookie dough is egg-free, dairy-free and gluten-free. We only use high quality, certified organic, gluten-free, non-GMO and fair trade ingredients, and no preservatives or synthetic ingredients. Our proprietary GF Flour Mix and other ingredients are able to maintain a rather low water activity, which keeps the dough safe from microbial growth and spoilage. Our current packaging is also food safe and airtight. So, grab a spoon and dig in!

BeReal Cookie Dough was tested at \"Ambient Temperature\" storage conditions of 21-25 degrees Celsius, which is 69.8 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit, by Alliant Food Safety Labs in Farmington, CT. Ambient temperature (room temperature) simply means the temperature of the surrounding air in the room.

BeReal Cookie Dough tastes great at any time! We find its best texture is at room temperature (between 60 and 75 degrees). That\'s when it is soft and spoonable for eating and baking!

Bereal Dough will last unopened, at room temperature (between 60 and 75 degrees) for over 90 days. Once opened, it needs to be refrigerated and will last for another 60 days, if you don't eat it all first! We only know these facts due to an independent laboratory test because it has never lasted more than a day at our house (or anyone else's for that matter). The real issue is the battle between the kids who want to eat it all raw and the grown-ups who want to bake it (at least some of it, anyway!). Make sure you have enough to keep everyone happy!

Remember that BeReal Dough can be kept:

  • At room temperature (between 60 and 75 degrees) for 90 days unopened (12-oz and 16-oz containers)
  • 4-oz Snack cups can be kept at room temperature for 120 days unopened!
  • Refrigerated for 6 months and Frozen for up to 1 year

To Form a Perfect Cookie:
Use a generous tablespoon of cookie dough. Remember to pat the shapes down to your desired thickness as they don\'t spread like usual cookie dough because they do not contain butter. Thin for crispy cookies, a little thicker for chewy cookies.

The dough may become crumbly over time due to its low water activity. If your dough arrives crumbly, it\'s easy to add some moisture. We suggest you add approximately 1 - 1 1/2 Tbsp. of coconut oil, palm oil, vegetable oil or vegan shortening to the dough and mix well.

This direction keeps the dough fresh for an additional 30 days and is present on most consumer products.

Yes. The cookies retain their flavor and consistency in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Potential consumers, please note: All of our doughs currently on the market are nut-free. However, they may be produced on kitchen/bakery equipment where nut products were processed. This may cause an allergic reaction in some people. We constantly strive to maintain a separation from nut products during BeReal dough production and confirm that any shared equipment at our processing facility is thoroughly washed prior to use. Even with this standard operating procedure, we can not guarantee the possibility of cross-contamination will exist. Persons with severe nut allergies should use their own discretion prior to consuming our doughs. BeReal Food will not assume any liability for any allergic reactions post-consumption of our cookie dough. Yes. Our Palm Oil is certified by Palm Done Right, and is produced at a Fair Trade facility as certified by "fair for life".

These are the "coconut pearls" sometimes found in our Organic Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil. They may not always be present but we notice them especially in our Cacao Fudge Chip Cookie. They are perfectly fine to eat raw and will melt away when baked.

At present BeReal products are only available through our website, local food markets in Massachusetts and certain food expos within the Eastern U.S.

Your cookie dough can be unrefrigerated and sit at room temperatures unopened for 90+ days. That means most of the year we can just ship in a normal box (no ice packs or insulation needed) and it arrives in excellent condition. That said, during the heat of summer, it\'s possible that the chocolate chips and dough may arrive a little melted. It's totally natural for some melting to occur and that will not affect the safety or quality of the product. Simply place it in the refrigerator for 60 or 90 minutes to allow the chips to regain their structure. Then, allow it to come back to room temperature to enjoy it. Or you can open the dough upon arrival and mix all that natural OOEY-GOOEYness together and eat immediately!!
