Certified Organic, Non-GMO Shortening
We use organic, non-GMO, Fair Trade-certified shortening that is a blend of coconut and palm oil. The palm oil is sustainably sourced and certified by Palm Done Right. You can review their requirements at www.palmdoneright.com.
Both the coconut and evaporated cane sugar we use are certified, non-GMO and Fair Trade. Both are noted for their lower glycemic index as compared to granulated sugar.
Organic 70% Cacao Chocolate Chips
We only use extra-dark, 70% cacao chocolate chips that are all-natural, organic, dairy-free, and gluten-free.
